2020 Annual Meeting of the Pennsylvania Geographical Society

This year’s Annual Meeting will be an online event hosted on Zoom. Registration is now open.

Details for the 2020 Annual Meeting:

Date: Friday, 6 November 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Student Posters (undergraduate and graduate):

Registrants will receive final poster submission instructions once registration is completed.  Posters will have to be submitted in PDF format before 30 October to enable the arrangements committee to organize the poster session.

Each poster will have a 5-minute presentation window, followed by a question and answer period.

Paper Presentations (faculty and students):

Papers will be given using the standard 15-minute presentation window.  All presentations will be pre-recorded in MP4 format (easily recorded using Zoom)—there will be no live presentations during this year’s meeting.

Registrants will receive submission instructions once registration is complete.

To enable the efficient organization of paper sessions by the arrangements committee and to ensure proper quality control, please submit you recorded paper presentation by 30 October 2020.

All paper recordings will be deleted at the completion of the meeting.

The meeting will include an online Awards Session to announce this year’s award winners.  We will, however, honor this year’s award winners in-person during the luncheon during next year’s annual meeting in York, Pennsylvania.
